Holidays are great, for the obvious reasons: sleep, great food and the general 'couldn't-care-less' attitude. But also, it lets you catch-up on all the stuff that you normally love to do but have to 'sacrifice' because of studies.
Like diving for instance. Every holiday, i restart diving. It's an un-explainable feeling. Serene, calming, just you and the underwater environment. Weather plays a crucial role, it's been a very wet Seychelles over the last couple of days, making it far from ideal conditions. Choppy seas and the driving rain usually makes visibility very poor. But yesterday was an exception, at 60 feet, everything seemed relatively calm.
As I work toward my dive specialities, I need to fulfill certain requirements, like the number of dives and time underwater. Yesterday was a good trip in terms of fulfilling those requirements, we managed to do a double-tank dive, that is, we managed to do 2 dives in a single boat trip. The first dive site was the Bay Ternay Marine Park. As the name explicitly suggests, this restricted-access dive site is habitat to a rich variety of aquatic wildlife, from coral reefs to turtles. We got pretty lucky, a grand total of 6 turtles were spotted, (that has to be a record or something):
4 green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) and 2 Hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata)

A real shame I couldn't take pics on this dive 'cause we didn't bring a camera. Hopefully i can provide you some photos from my upcoming dives.
The second dive-site wasn't as spectacular as the first one, but nevertheless we did see a stingray, not too sure of the classification as it was only a fleeting glimpse, before it glided away. Spent a total of 2 hours underwater, cumulatively, not bad after a 6-month layoff.
Later in the evening, it was time for a temple visit. Nothing special, just the usual Thursday evening prayer.
It had been a very tiring day and I hit the sack by 10pm, couldn't even bring myself to watch my beloved Manchester United play.
PS. Excuse any blogging faux-pas I may have committed, its been a while since I blogged.Have great weekend!
